An accomplished journalist, broadcaster, television interviewer, producer, /writer/editor, columnist and corporate host, Michael is currently a senior journalist for Sydney’s Ten News First and feature documentary creator for ESPN.
Well-known for his three part documentary series, “Passionate Players” which appeared on Network Ten, uncovering the lives of entrepreneurs and how they made their fortunes, Cainey is currently in post-production on his exclusive feature in Croatia on former Socceroo Mark Viduka. After making his mark for SBS in their coverage of the 2010 World Cup soccer finals in South Africa, Michael has gone onto cover events such as Olympic games, Commonwealth Games, State of Origin series, NRL Grand Finals Melbourne Cups, A-League grand finals & National Shooting Championships.
A career that’s seen him interview the likes of super model Elle Macpherson, actor David Hasselhoff, former PM John Howard, rocker Jimmy Barnes, Supercars champion Scott Mclaughlin, former Aussie cricket skipper Steve Waugh, top horse trainer Gai Waterhouse, as well as script write for various politicians, both state and federal.
